Farewell January~ this month was a busy one.

We practiced writing letters and numbers in shaving cream.

We discussed winter weather, snow formation, and the water cycle. Then we created icicles by allowing glue to drip and slide down a piece of paper.

I supplemented the writing area with chalk, chalkboards, and word flashcards. Students really enjoy practicing writing when they have a model to follow.

In order to hold a pencil with strong grip we have to practice. Squeezing clothes pins and using chopsticks help with this.

Wow, what a structure! Perhaps a future builder or architect? We always have time for constructing in PreK.
