We are waiting for wings in PreK. This week our Painted Lady caterpillars arrived and our study of life cycles is off and running. We have a special area for observation and the class made their butterfly books to illustrate metamorphosis.

We are learning a multitude of new vocabulary words to describe our caterpillars. Did you know that caterpillars breathe from openings in their body called spiracles?

As a continuation of Earth Day observance and recycling, we turned ordinary egg cartons into extraordinary caterpillars!

Literature to support our learning? Yes please!
