I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!

This month we have been learning a lot about our five senses.  We had so much fun indulging in our sense of taste by making pumpkin ice cream from scratch.  The children all took turns adding ingredients into the bowl and mixing with a whisk.

Then we poured our mixture into the ice cream maker and watched the magic happen!

Finally, the best part was eating the cold, creamy treat!

Recipe for Pumpkin Ice Cream
1 (15 oz) can of pumpkin
1 cup cream
2/3 cup half and half
2/3 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves

Whisk all ingredients together and add to ice cream maker.
