Color Wheel Fun

I constructed a color wheel from scraps of the children's easel paintings and affixed it to a large wooden lazy susan.  I provided colorful rubber vehicles in a basket for sorting and matching (by color or type).  The children placed the vehicles on the color wheel 'till the basket was empty.  Then they experimented with centrifugal force....spinning the wheel slowly to keep the vehicles from falling off, then spinning it wildly, to observe the happy chaos of flying vehicles!

Outside play in the Courtyard included dress up clothes...so we had princess surfers, princess sleepover party and a truck driver who interrupted some one's nap.

Teamwork was the name of the game as the children helped each other go up the slide to escape the pretend 'hot lava' that flowed over the wood chips
