Fun in the Toddler Class

Play Days!

We had amazing performers take the stage to act out scenes from their imagination, stories and songs.

Sifting and Sorting

Flour, beans, corn,  and sifters. We practiced the back and forth movement to separate the contents inside the bin. The children also learned a little about gold mining!

Emotion Plates

We had a fun week learning about feelings and emotions. First, I had the children use hand mirrors to make faces in. We talked about the type of characteristics each emotion had and tried finding those emotions in books, magazines, posters etc. Then we created our own emotion plates and used them to identify real scenarios that had happened inside the classroom. The children loved the idea of using real friends' name and situations to act out a specific emotion.

 " I think I can, I think I can!"

A great example of friends helping friends.
