Paper rolling

Our class likes to roll their artwork into cylinders or tubes.  These become pirate maps or telescopes.  The dexterity required to form these tubes is good fine motor skill practice.  To extend this interest, I purchased origami paper in a rainbow of colors.  The children happily rolled and glued until they had enough to create a paper roll sculpture.  Some of the rolls were flat, while others were true cylinders.  This 3D art activity produced some pretty cool results!

Mrs. Ronda put out our blue capes this week.  The children love to use their super powers to rescue someone from hot lava or to play contentedly in the sandbox.

Team work, both inside the classroom and out
