Pumpkins...

This week we continued to work on color, shape and letter recognition. We also have been working hard on using our friends names when speaking to them, making eye contact during conversation, and learning how to problem solve. In addition, we discovered pumpkins(sight, taste, smell, touch), participated in ribbon dancing parades and created some pretty tall sky scraper towers with blocks, tubes and pegs. While some friends took an interest in creating a tall stack of blocks, there were also some who focused more on creating patterns with the different colors. This open ended activity brought a lot of conversation about counting, patterns, taking turns and team work.
Next week we will be learning about shapes, following two step directions and grouping similar items together.
