Discovery (ramps and more!)

This week I introduced a building system that we haven't yet used in PreK.  It's made by a company called Kodo Kids and consists of wood ramps, wood balls, and a extra accessories to aid in constructing fun and experimentation.  For this week I wanted the students to take time exploring with the basic materials of ramps and balls.  The class curiosity, ingenuity, surprise, and delight was abundant.  Here are the students as they built individually and as a group.

If you'd like to learn more about this product I encourage you to visit the Kodo Kids website.  When the GHCC teachers attended last years annual conference for early childhood education, we had the privilege of meeting reps from the company and playing with some of their new toys.  It really is fun for all ages!

One last thing that never ceases to be enjoyable is plain old shaving cream.  We whipped up a table of white fluff and added letter sponges to squish and press.

See you next week!
