This week our learning focus was on seasons and weather. We used watercolors to paint spring flowers. We matched stickers to the colors in the rainbow and we practiced our tripod finger grip with three crayons taped together. Students used felt pieces to retell the story of the Very Hungry Caterpillar and we learned about coins and money sorting.
I switched up the easel area by adding water and a paintbrush to the chalkboard side. The students were delighted to see their creations "disappear" before our eyes.
Everyone has loved squeezing the craft bead foam material and practicing their controlled pinwork creations.
The outside environment was a blast and allowed students to drive cars, push trucks, build homes for bug finger puppets, and get feet wet and sandy.
We can't wait for more fun next week!
