Read, read, and read some more

Students in PreK have come very far in their pre-reading and early reading skills. Simply reading stories aloud to children is one of the best things a caregiver can do to instill a joy of literature and reinforce the comprehension skills needed to master reading. Last week we read two fun books and completed activities to encourage story comprehension and other skills like matching, cutting, and shape recognition.

Another fun activity in the week was our dramatic play doctor's office. We wrapped broken arms and hurt legs, administered shots, viewed X-rays, and wrote directions for patients to follow until their next visit. 

And finally all of our butterflies emerged from their chrysalides, hooray!
