Math skills that we practiced this week wear sorting items by color and first identifying then creating patterns with two colors. Students sorted paper cut out pieces then used glue sticks to fix them in their appropriate column on paper. We built a pattern that we saw then got the chance to create one of our own by choosing two favorite colors.
Last weeks letters were M and F and students were successful in the fan folding fun. This week we're learning P which is perfect for our upcoming pumpkin patch adventure!
Students were very curious about our "sticky easel" this week. I taped up a piece of contact paper and provided flat block pieces for a very different type of building opportunity.
Meanwhile, outside we had police officers, construction workers, and firefighters zooming on bikes and working with tools.
