Crystal Clear

PreK enjoyed the pieces of agate that I brought to school but the quartz crystals were even more exciting.
After much discussion about where, why, and how crystals form I promised the class that we would soon be growing our very own crystals at school.  But to see more of that you'll have to check the blog next week!

Last week we spent more time observing and marveling over the pieces of agate.  Students chose favorite pieces and created drawings of them.
Outside in the sun I caught students during a gymnastics class, driving around, and moving rocks and leaves with small trucks.
The water table area was available with plastic pipe pieces so students could fashion their own designs and watch the water pour through.
